Research Lab of Accelerating Structures
Research Lab of Accelerating Structures designed and assembled as part of CENTRIX project is an open and modular installation focusing on offering commercial works for science laboratories and industrial companies present on local and international markets. The technology includes production of accelerating structures in spectrum from 1 to 15 MeV and is dedicated to non-destructive testing, large-size cargo inspection, medical radiotherapy, material sterilization and modification or air and water pollution reduction. The installation is characterized by exceptional parameters on the Polish market and it was especially designed by specialists of the Division of Nuclear Equipment HITEC (of National Centre for Nuclear Research) who have been constructing medical and industrial accelerators for decades.
Four main modules make the installation multipurpose:

1. RF module is used for measurements and tests of a new generation of accelerating structures. Research is now available in various configurations of control and power supply.
2. Egun module is used for measurements and tests of electron guns.
3. Ion chamber module is used for measurements and tests of ionization chambers.
4. Instrumentation module:
• High quality endoscope for visual inspections of welding or brazing connections, applied in vacuum technology, which are not easily accessible
• Laser engraver for parts identification on early stages of production
• Equipment for vacuum bakeouts.
