Radiography
Laboratory Fast_X

The Fast_X laboratory enables comprehensive non-destructive testing using ionising radiation over a wide energy range. A unique set of apparatus and equipment allows to perform:

  • radiography and tomography, including components of considerable size and weighing up to several tonnes,
  • flash radiography
  • dynamic radiography and neutron beam examinations.
High energy

A linear accelerator w.c., it allows radiography of components with considerable thickness (up to 400 mm of steel) both on classic films and on digital detectors.  The accelerator parameters can be found here /link to description/.

Classic

High-performance x-ray tube with a maximum energy of 450 kV, mounted on a universal stand with remote-controlled travel in the range: …x…mm. You will find detailed lamp parameters here /link to description/.

Dynamic

Ultra-high-speed imaging detectors, capable of capturing X-ray images at up to 100,000 frames/sec using conventional radiation sources. If only 1 exposure with a very short time is required – it is possible to use a discharge lamp, with a radiation pulse time of ~20 ns. The equipment enables ballistic examinations and radiography in the high-speed processes of the electromechanical and automotive industries, among others.
