The laboratory is equipped with a test bed for gamma-ray recording and neutron detection systems for powerful neutron sources and for new material analysis technologies. It enables both research and development work and the development of detection technologies important for industry. The stand allows modelling of conditions close to real measurement conditions for neutron and gamma sources.

The stand is equipped with, among other things:

• High-temperature neutron source (Am-Be)
High temperature-resistant compact neutron generator
• High-temperature gamma-ray source (Cs, Eu, Na, Co)
• Climatic chamber
• Gamma and neutron detectors
• Electromagnetic exciter
• 3D printers
• Extensive workshop facilities for the construction of experimental stands.

The extensive equipment of the Detection Systems Laboratory enables the construction of both scientific and industrial measurement stations using ionising radiation (gamma and neutron) in their operation.
